CopsonRae was founded on a simple idea: SMEs deserve access to the same calibre of strategic marketing and commercial expertise that larger organisations rely on - delivered by people who are willing to roll up their sleeves and make it real.

After two decades leading B2B marketing and commercial teams, we saw a pattern repeat itself. Growing businesses had the ambition, the product, and the market opportunity - yet lacked the clarity, consistency, or bandwidth to turn that potential into predictable growth. Strategy lived in PowerPoints, not practice. Campaigns were fragmented. CRM, data, and digital tools were underused. Teams were stretched. And decisions were made reactively instead of proactively.

We started CopsonRae to change that.

Rae’s background

I’ve spent over 25 years in B2B marketing, and I still love it. What excites me is helping businesses grow by bringing strategy, creativity, and execution together - whether that’s building a go‑to‑market plan, or getting sales and marketing working in sync.

I’m passionate about combining strategic clarity with creativity and operational know‑how. I thrive on designing lead generation frameworks, driving revenue growth, optimising processes, and turning ideas into action. When you work with me, you’ll get energy, focus, and someone who’s genuinely invested in your success.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me pitch‑side cheering on my youngest daughter’s rugby team or in the kitchen hosting family and friends. I’m known for making sure no one leaves hungry - that same welcoming approach shapes how I work with businesses.

Nick’s background

I’m a senior marketing and commercial leader with 15+ years growing major UK media and service brands. I love marketing… i’m creative at heart but a capatilist too, and I love the science of getting someone to buy something.

I’ve directed marketing across 160+ brands, delivered 20%+ YoY digital revenue growth, built high-performing teams, led CRM and digital transformation, and driven SME commercial performance through improved acquisition, retention, and AI-driven optimisation.

After seeing how many SMEs struggle to access senior expertise that actually delivers, I founded CopsonRae with Rachael to bring board-level clarity and hands-on execution to growing B2B businesses.

It’s not all about strategy though, I also roll my sleeves up and I want you to see us as part of your team.

When i’m not working you’ll find me with my 3x sons, on my road bikes, podcasting or building lego. I’m also a school governor, and dad to Brodie, a little Cockapoo.
